5 FAQ I get asked as a ‘Live Wedding and Events Painter’

No.1

Do you get nervous when painting live?

Not really no, I get into a bit of a zone when I am painting so I’m not really thinking about the fact that I’m being watched or even recorded. But, even when people do come and interact, I love talking to people so that’s a joy as well!

No.2

Can you paint my dog in the picture?

Absolutely! I’d love to include your dog in your special day and can do this simply by using an image - so it doesn’t matter if they had plans that day (wink wink).

Want to add a tuxedo? DONE! What about their favourite toy next to them? ALSO DONE! Have more than 1 pet? You tell me how many animals and I’ll grab a paintbrush!

No.3

Can I have a go at painting a little bit?

Of course! You might need to give me a second to mix a colour for a specific area that i think would be nice for you to paint but, once that’s done, you’re the artist!

I love giving guests the chance to paint a little bit so they can say that they helped out in making the couple’s bespoke heirloom and it makes their day that little bit more memorable, being involved in the entertainment.

No.4

I’m already married, but I’d love a custom wedding painting, can you paint us from a picture?

Yes, I’d love to! Head over to my enquiry form by clicking the ‘Secure Your Date’ page and fill it out to enquire. I have painted wedding photos from different kinds of imagery in the past, including a photo from 1966 for a 60th Wedding Anniversary (see image above!)

Feel free to check over imagery throughout my website for my past work, or on my social media pages (Instagram , Facebook & Tiktok) @niamhuart

No.5

How long will this painting take?

My paintings vary in time depending on the complexity of the image and background. On the day , depending on your package, I will live paint for 6-7 hours. After the event, it will take an extra 14+ hours of layering and refining in the studio before your painting is ready for a UV and dust protective varnish. The overall process is around 8 weeks, depending on the drying time and my orders.

This means that you get to relive your wedding day after your event when the painting arrives at your home, ready for you to display and love!

Let me know if you have any more questions that you’d like for me to answer, as I would love to hear them!

I hope you have enjoyed reading my second blog (woooo). This one was actually drafted to use as an Instagram caption but it felt a shame not to post it on here too, so more brides/grooms to be can get answers to some questions they may have already been thinking!

Thank you for reading, until next time!
